I have failed. Our people needed me, and I failed them. As the Lost host continued to grow, so too did my questions. I found no answers. I had hoped the Covenant leaders might offer some insight, but I found myself threatened, deceived, and finally banished. I have been named Apostate. There was a conspiracy within some of the leaders to shame me. To say that I am working against the Covenant and the orders from on high. To whomever should find this when my sanity has finally left me, I implore you: deliver this message to my mother Livia. Tell her that I am sorry. When the Covenant needed me most, I succumbed at last to despair. And if you are able, release me from this abominable fate to the comforting blackness of oblivion.
