as assumed by her loyal squire, Khadijah Bahri

It was a dark and stormy night. A streak of lightning illuminated a storm-tossed sea. “My kingdom is in trouble!” shouted King Artorius from the shore. “We shall surely perish from hunger lest ye shall procure a bounteous quantity of fish!” “Never you fret,” replied the dashing Captain Perronelle le Noir. “With my steady hand at the till, none shall want for feast tonight!” And with that, her intrepid ship, the [information missing] set sail. Perronelle cast her net into the waves and instantly hauled a school of fish weighing as much as a pregnant elephant. Loading the haul into the ship’s foremast trebuchet, she launched back to shore, where it bounced into a bonfire and onto the banquet table, already cooked and delicious [citation needed]. The kingdom rejoiced. “It’s all part of the job,” replied Captain Perronelle. Suddenly, a shape appeared from the water behind her. A monstrous, 20-headed beast, 1000 feet tall, towered over her [citation needed] “You have terrorized my fishy kindred long enough,” the beast snarled through jagged jaws. “And now I will devour you whole!” “Thine threats hold no valor, foul beast!” Perronelle roared, brandishing a spear in each hand. “Heed the response of my strong arm!” She flew through the air, aiming for the beast’s insidious yellow eye, when one head snapped at her ship, devouring her crew in one fell gulp.  “No!” cried Perronelle, distracted by her loss. Taking advantage of her distraction, in a most dishonorable way, the beast snapped at her in midair. But her reflexes were so quick that it only caught her leg, severing it below the knee. A scientific side note: the bite of this creature would render any regular mortal immediately Lost. However, due to Perronelle’s nonpareil spiritual fortitude, it merely took her leg [no citation necessary]. To this day, the cowardly creature hides in terror from the fearless fisher, too scared to show its head above the waves.
