The Blight is not what I anticipated...
This Blight that consumes the land continues to defy my expectations. Although it is one of the few ostensibly natural forces that seems to afflict the Angry Earth, I have come to carry grave doubts as to its origins.
While it clearly afflicts the body and nature of the host, if the sickness were of ordinary stock, I would expect the afflicted specimens to spread their infection to one another. And yet no such transmission occurs… I can only conclude the infection must be introduced by a carrier from some foreign environment.
Whatever its origins, it is clear the consequences are dire. The deranging effects, in addition to rendering the specimen dangerous and volatile, appear to be terminal. Even if I can formulate a cure, it will do nothing to return these creatures peacefully to the Earth. For whatever imbalance has roused them from their rest still eludes me.
