After casting its teleport attack, the boss sometimes teleports itself under the floor, therefore cannot be killed, since that location can not be approached. Your best bet is to kill him as fast as possible, so you might prevent him casting said attack move.

If you are trying to get Tanglevine Amulet and Earrings, this is the best boss to farm. Got both in 3 tries, and he spawns super fast. I think it was 1 minute and 15 seconds he spawns. GLHF
